#Eda85daysinJapan | Chapter 3 (Kyoto Part 3)
Robots, Missed Reservations & Local Eats Started the day mistaking our one-day ticket coverage, which led to a surprisingly funny interaction with the station's customer service robot to get everything cleared up. We then tried heading to the Nintendo Headquarters, completely forgetting that you have to reserve slots online ahead of time.
Luckily, our luck turned around for lunch. We found a small spot doing incredible organic food, run by a super cool auntie chef who made the whole meal feel like a treat.
Tea, Temples & Uji Town From there, we spent the afternoon wandering through Uji:
Checked out Byodoin Temple (平等院) and took a slow walk across Uji Bridge (宇治橋).
Picked up some local tea leaves to take back and grabbed a green tea soft serve while exploring the town.
Sunset at Fushimi Inari By late afternoon, we made our way over to Fushimi Inari. Instead of hanging around the bottom, we hiked up the trail until we found a solid spot to sit and watch the sunset over the city.
Finished off the night with a quick bowl of ramen—a little on the salty side to my taste, but decent enough after a long day on our feet—and hopped on the bus back home.
