#Eda85daysinJapan | Chapter 4 (Hokuriku) | Day Trip from Kanazawa โ€“ Shirayama Hime Jinja & Sky Shishiku

๐Ÿ“ Shirayama Hime Jinja, Sky Shishiku

Took a 30-minute ride to Tsurugi Station and visited Shirayama Hime Jinja Shrine. Itโ€™s the head shrine of the Hakusan Faith, at the foot of Mt. Hakusan, one of Japanโ€™s three sacred mountains. Locals call it Shirayama-san. Very strong connection there. I was so lucky to witness a wedding โ€” I just couldnโ€™t hold my happy tears. Managed to touch and worship the sacred trees along the path, then had a lovely lunch nearby.

After that I walked over to the paragliding place. Wasnโ€™t really planned. I knew it was worth the budget to try, and frankly Iโ€™m scared of heights always, so I left it to the universe โ€” if they let me do it, then I would. And yeah, they re-arranged and got the best flying coach for me. Within 15 minutes I was at the top of Sky Shishiku via the gondola lift and got ready to fly. I screamed my lungs out, obviously. Though itโ€™s just about 10 minutes, it did feel like a lifetime. So yes, so happy I tried.

After that I walked around the area and visited a wood workshop and the Shishi World Museum. Sunday afternoon stroll in a quiet town, yet so much excitement and memory that day.
